Waste Management Board to Administer the California Oil Recycling
Enhancement Act on Behalf of the County” and authorizing the
Environmental Services Joint Powers Authority to submit to the California
Integrated Waste Management Board a regional application for the Local
Government Used Oil Opportunity – Sixth Cycle on behalf of the County,

New Airport Terminal Restaurant
|
The Board and Staff discussed the various options
concerning the furnishing of the new Airport Terminal Restaurant.
Mr. Jeff Jewett, the Public Works Director, informed the Board that
with regard to furnishing the seating area of the restaurant he was
recommending that this be included for discussion with the Operator once
the RFP process is concluded. The
Board and Staff discussed certain aspects of the RFP for the operation of
the Restaurant, with the Board indicating they did not want to subsidize
the restaurant. Moved by
Supervisor Hambleton and seconded by Supervisor Arcularius to A) authorize
the purchase of kitchen equipment as recommended by the Public Works
Department for the newly constructed restaurant at the Bishop Airport
Terminal Building; B) amend the FY 2001/2002 County Budget by
appropriating $35,000 from Contingencies and authorize the County
Administrator and the Auditor-Controller to make the appropriate budget
adjustments to the Bishop Airport Terminal Construction Budget Unit
150102; and C) direct the Public Works Department to furnish and equip the
seating area of the restaurant as recommended by the Public Works
Director. Motion carried
