Program for Motorized Projects” for the updating, printing and
distributing of the sport utility vehicle access guide, Motor
Touring in the Eastern Sierra Including Death Valley, was adopted: motion

|
On a motion by Supervisor Dorame and a second

|
The
request by Integrated Waste for approval of Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement between the County of
Inyo and Environmental Services Joint Powers Authority (ESJPA) adding two
additional groundwater monitoring wells at the Keeler waste disposal site,
increasing the Contract amount by $14,175 to a total not to exceed
$179,576, was pulled from consideration by the County Administrator.

through the CMAS Agreement: (a) three personal computers and peripherals
from Gateway, in an amount not to exceed $5,394, plus tax and shipping;
(b) one Toshiba laptop and peripherals from CDWG, in an amount not to
exceed $1,617.22, plus tax and shipping; and (c) one Hewlett Packard
laserjet printer and peripherals from CDWG in an amount not to exceed
$2,158.71, plus tax and shipping; and B) the purchase software for
Microsoft products from sole-source provider Insight Direct in an amount

Parks/Ordinance for Fees for Parties Over 14
|
Mr. Chuck
Hamilton, Deputy County Administrator, reviewed the Staff report and
recommendations regarding an ordinance establishing fees for use of the
Tecopa Hot Springs Park by groups larger than 14 people.
The Board and Staff discussed the need to address a variety of
issues relative to the Tecopa Hot Springs Park, with this fee ordinance
being the first step. Mr.
Hamilton provided additional information regarding the “fee pipes”
explaining that the fee station will also have the ability to accept
donations. The Chairperson
opened the public hearing at 10:40 a.m., to consider an ordinance entitled “An Ordinance of the Board of
Supervisors, County of Inyo, State of California, Establishing Fees for
the Use of the Tecopa Hot Springs Park by Groups Larger than Fourteen
Persons.” There being no one from the public wishing to address this
ordinance, the Chairperson closed the public hearing at 10:41 a.m.

A) approve a change in authorized strength by deleting one
Equipment Operator I/II, Range 58/60 ($2,377-$2,892/$2,494-$3,028), plus
2-1/2% tool allowance; and adding one Road Heavy Equipment
Mechanic/Equipment Operator I position, Range 58 ($2,377 - $2,892); and B)
authorize the recruitment and filling of the Road Heavy Equipment
Mechanic/Equipment Operator I position at Range 58.

Homewood Canyon Projects
|
The Public Works Director, Mr. Jeff Jewett,
addressed the request from Western Stabilization to
stop the 9 Mile Canyon and Homewood Canyon Road Projects in order
to address the issue of a subcontractor on those projects not meeting
County specifications. Mr.
Jewett explained that Homewood Canyon Project has been completed and 9
Mile Canyon is do to start in the very near future.
He suggested the Board direct him to conduct an investigation into
the allegations and report back to the Board on his findings next week.
The Board concurred with Mr. Jewett’s suggestion, asked that he
also work with Western Stabilization with regard to the investigation, and
give Western Stabilization the opportunity to be present during the future
discussions.
