The Board of
Supervisors of the County of Inyo, State of California, met in special session
at the hour of 11:00 a.m., on Monday,
November 18, 2002, in the Board of Supervisors Room, County
Administrative Center, Independence, with the following Supervisors present:
Chairperson Linda Arcularius presiding, Julie Bear, Ervin R. Lent,
Carroll M. Hambleton, Jr., and Michael Dorame.
Supervisor Dorame provided the Invocation, and Supervisor Lent led the
Pledge of Allegiance.

Public
Comment
|
The
Chairperson announced the public comment period.
The County Administrator clarified a news report concerning Coso
reserves, explaining that other than the County no other special district
has any of the Coso reserve funds set aside.

Auditor/Surplus
Sale
|
Moved by
Supervisor Bear and seconded by Supervisor Dorame to approve the public sale of County surplus equipment
on November 22, 2002. Motion carried unanimously.

Closed
Session
|
The
Chairperson recessed open session at 11:10 a.m., to convene in closed
session, with all Board Members present to discuss Agenda Items No. 3 CONFERENCE
WITH LABOR NEGOTIATOR [Pursuant to Government Code § 54957.6]

to Negotiators re: wages, salaries and benefits - Employee Organization:

Chairperson recessed closed session at 3:45 p.m., to convene in open
session to receive a report on closed session.
County Counsel reported there were no items discussed in closed
session, which were required by law to be reported on in open session.

The
Chairperson adjourned the special meeting at 3:45 p.m.
