of Supervisors

The
Board of Supervisors of the County of Inyo, State of California, met in special
session at the hour of 9:00 a.m., on Tuesday, May 24, 2005,
in the Board of Supervisors Room, at tge County Administrative Center, in
Independence, with the following Supervisors present:
Chairperson Ted Williams presiding, Linda Arcularius, Susan Cash, Jim
Bilyeu, and Richard Cervantes. Supervisor
Cervantes provided the Invocation, and Supervisor Bilyeu led the Pledge of
Allegiance.

Public
Comment
|
The
Chairperson announced the public comment period.
Ms. Leslie Klusmire, Planning Director, updated the Board on the
proposed development in Charleston View.
She informed the Board that she would be coming forward in the very
near future with recommendations on how to proceed with the preliminary
process to approve total developments as large as these, which would be
50,000 to 60,000 homes. She
explained that it could take between 3-4 years before any dirt is turned
over and 15-20 years to complete the developments

The
Chairperson recessed open session at 9:25 a.m., to convene in closed

Report
on Closed Session
|
The
Chairperson recessed closed session to convene in open session to receive
a report on closed session. County Counsel reported there were no items discussed in
closed session which were required by law to be reported on in open
session.

The
Chairperson adjourned the special meeting at 12:00 p.m.
