  WELCOME

The Inyo County Environmental Health Services Department consists of six employees who carry out the mission of safeguarding the public health from environmental hazards. This is achieved by the enforcement of Federal, State and local regulations to ensure the safe supply of food and water, to monitor the proper management of wastes and hazardous materials, to investigate environmental health related causes of illness and to abate hazardous environmental conditions.

Regular inspections of permitted facilities and investigations of complaints are conducted by trained and licensed Environmental Health Specialists. Our water laboratory provides a wide range of bacterial analyses and conducts over 2500 analyses each year.
