Engineering Consultant Services - Bishop, Independence, and Lone Pine Airport Capital Improvement Projects

The county will be soliciting Statements of Qualifications from engineering firms to provide comprehensive environmental and engineering services for the county's National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems (NPIAS) airports. The selected consultant will prepare environmental documents, perform engineering, and prepare plans and specifications for airport pavement improvement projects, security fencing installation projects, for a Super AWOS at Lone Pine Airport, and Master Plan preparation for Lone Pine and Independence Airports. The term of the contract is expected to be three years. The Request for Statement of Qualifications is anticipated to begin advertising during late August 2012.

Bishop Airport

Construct electrical upgrades, new electrical building, and install emergency generator

Lone Pine Airport

Runway 16/34 and Parallel Taxiway A Reconstruction Project - remove existing asphalt concrete pavement, overexcavate and install and compact imported subgrade to FAA standards, regrade and install subbase to achieve new profile, install aggregate base and new hot-mix asphalt pavement section, paint runway and taxiway striping and markings.
