SPRING VEGETATION CLEAN-UP & FREE GREEN WASTE DISPOSAL
According to groundhog Punxsutawney Phil, we are going to have an early spring! Whether the groundhog is accurate or not, the earlier in spring you begin your vegetation management activities around your property, the safer you will be as we move into wildfire season. While the spring air is cool and the fire risk level is low, Inyo County's Office of Emergency Services encourages residents to be proactive in reducing wildfire risk by continuing to be diligent in managing the overgrown, dry and dead vegetation that accumulates around their properties and homes. Inyo County holds quarterly FREE GREEN WASTE DISPOSAL events at all Inyo County landfills and transfer stations to help encourage wildfire prevention clean-up activities. The next scheduled event will be held the weekend of April 18th and 19th, 2020. For more information email the Inyo County Office of Emergency Services at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (760) 878-0120.
