January is Positive Parenting Awareness Month! A collaborative effort between First5 Inyo County, Kern Regional Center, Wild Iris, [INSERT], [INSERT], the Inyo County Office of Education, and CASA of the Eastern Sierra. This year Positive Parenting Awareness Month brings multiple community events throughout January to celebrate Positive Parenting and raising children and youth to become healthy, confident, capable individuals.

A new event available to everyone and on their own schedule is the StoryStroll!

Inyo County StoryStroll

StoryStoll is installed across towns in Inyo County, including multiple locations in Bishop, Big Pine, Independence, Lone Pine, Shoshone and Tecopa.

The project consists of 13 story stations, each featuring a different children’s storybook, which promotes health, literacy, and quality time with family.
