The competitive pot of funding is one of three programs offered through CPSP: nearly $50,000 is awarded in various CPSP line-item grants for perennial community events such as Mule Days and the Wild Wild West Marathon, and $32,500 is distributed in line-item grants to support local fishing derbies. Outside of the CPSP, the Board of Supervisors also provides almost $25,000 in County Marketing Grants and $122,000 through the Grants-in-Support program, for a total of almost $250,000 in grant funding each fiscal year.
