Non-Emergent Medical Transportation for Veterans
Non-Emergent Medical Transportation for Veterans
Via the VA Rural Transportation Grant there is a van that is available for veterans to get to VA Medical appointments. The van can be checked out by a veteran, friend, family member or caregiver. The grant covers the cost of fuel, meals and lodging necessary to attend VA medical appointments. Contact the VFW Post 8988 at 760-873-5770 to reserve.
We are always in need of volunteer drivers if you would like to sign up to help get veterans to and from their VA medical appointments please sign up using the Volunteer Driver Link.
