Immunizations

Through the Inyo County Immunization Program, we strive to prevent vaccine-preventable diseases by enhancing vaccine coverage, conducting disease investigations and control efforts, and fostering community education and collaboration. Additionally, we provide assessment services and manage the Immunization Registry to ensure comprehensive public health support. 

No-Cost Flu Vaccines for Everyone
  • Influenza (6 months and older) - October to June
Adult Vaccines (18+ years old) 

Must be eligible for the Vaccines For Adults (VFA) - Uninsured or Underinsured

  • RSV (60 years and older)
  • Hepatitis B
  • COVID
Childhood Vaccines (under 18 years old)

Must be eligible for the Vaccines For Children (VFC) program (Medi-Cal Eligible, Uninsured, American Indian or Alaskan Native)

  • COVID (6+ years old)
  • DTaP

  • Hepatitis B
  • HPV (Human Papillomavirus)
  • Meningococcal
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)

Immunizations At-Cost:
  • Adult Hepatitis B (20+ years old)
  • Tdap (10 years old to 64 years old) - available with Health Officer consult if patient is 6-9 years old or over the age of 64.

Seasonal Influenza (Flu) Clinics 2024-2025

During October 2024, the Inyo County Public Health Team hosted flu season pop-up clinics across various locations in the county. If you missed these events and would like to receive your free flu vaccination, we invite you to visit the Inyo County Public Health Clinic, located at 1360 N. Main St., Bishop, CA 93514. Walk-in flu shots are available during clinic hours every Tuesday and Thursday from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.

The flu vaccination can help keep your family from getting sick with flu and can reduce the risk of potentially serious flu complications for people with certain chronic health conditions.

Public Health Community Clinics:

Throughout the year off-site or "pop-up" community clinics are schedule at locations across the county to help community members access vaccines. These clinics are scheduled as-needed or upon request.

Every October - Flu Clinics are scheduled in:
Bishop, Big Pine, Independence, Lone Pine, Olancha, Furnace Creek, Shoshone, and Tecopa.


 Homebound VaccinesHomebound Vaccine Requests:

Vaccines are available for Homebound individuals, as staffing and vaccine availability allows.

Travel Vaccines

Inyo County Public Health does not currently offer travel vaccines. However, we encourage you to reach out to local providers, including your primary care physician or Vons Pharmacy, for assistance with your travel vaccination needs.
