The Inyo County Public Health Immunization Program works to reduce vaccine-preventable diseases by improving vaccine coverage, conducting disease investigations/control, and by providing education, community collaboration, assessment, and Immunization Registry services.
Free Immunizations for Everyone:
- Influenza (6 months and older) - October to June
Adult Vaccines (>18 years old):
must be eligible for the VFA/BAP program (Uninsured or Underinsured)
- Coming October 2023: Pfizer COVID-19
Childhood Vaccines (<18 years old):
must be eligible for the VFC program (MediCal Eligible, Uninsured, or American Indian or Alaskan Native)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
- Hep A
- Hep B
- DTaP
- Tdap
- Polio
- Varicella
- HPV
- Meningococcal
- Coming October 2023: Pfizer COVID-19
- Coming Fall 2023-Winter 2024: RSV
Immunizations At-Cost:
- Adult Hep B (20+ years old)
- Tdap (10 to 64 years old) - available with Health Officer consult if patient is 6-9 years old or over the age of 64.
Public Health Community Clinics:
Throughout the year off-site or "pop-up" community clinics are schedule at locations across the county to help community members access vaccines. These clinics are scheduled as-needed or upon request.
Every October - Flu Clinics are scheduled in:
Bishop, Lone Pine, Olancha, Independence, Big Pine, Furnace Creek, Shoshone, and Tecopa.
Homebound Vaccine Requests:
Vaccines are available for Homebound individuals, as staffing and vaccine availability allows.
Please Contact the Public Health Clinic to request a homebound vaccine appointment.

COVID-19 Clinics at Clint Quilter County Office Building - Public Health Clinic
Updated 09/14/23: COVID-19 vaccinations are currently on hold until new COVID-19 Vaccine supply is received from the manufacturer.
Starting October 2023 - COVID-19 Vaccine Eligibility at Inyo County Public Health will change.
Inyo County COVID-19 Vaccine Eligibility:
- Adults(>18 years old): Uninsured or Underinsured Individuals
- Children (6 months-18 years old): MediCal eligible, Uninsured, or American Indian or Alaskan Native
If you have MediCal, MediCal Managed Care Plan, Medicare, or Private Health Insurance, you will not be eligible to receive COVID-19 vaccinations from Inyo County Public Health, please call your primary care provider or local pharmacy for COVID-19 vaccination services.
