Probation - Juvenile Division

The primary responsibilities of the Juvenile Division are as follows:

  • The supervision and case management of youth placed on probation by the Superior Court, or Informal Probation by the Probation Department.
  • Serving the court by the provision of disposition investigations and recommendations; detention investigations and ongoing monitoring of juvenile cases.
  • Engaging youth and strengthening families with evidence based treatment and interventions to address the behaviors which led to delinquent conduct.  
  • In collaboration with partner agencies and Inyo County schools, the provision of early intervention programs for pre-delinquent youth.
