Taboose Creek Campground is currently closed due to evacuation orders issued for the Rock Fire. For your safety, please avoid the area and follow all instructions from local emergency officials. We will reopen the campground as soon as conditions allow. Thank you for your understanding.
Well Water Notice July 30 2026
Our Water System failed to monitor and test the drinking water during the month of May. Samples were taken in June and came back negative for bacteria. The water system is online. Please see attached document at the bottom of this webpage to view the notice.
CAMPFIRES ARE ONLY ALLOWED IN THE FIRE RINGS

First come, first served sites are also available
Location
Via U.S. 395, 14-miles north of Independence, turn west on Taboose Creek Road, 2- miles to campground.
Amenities
Vault toilets, stream, tables, grills, fire rings, stream fishing, 35 camp spaces. Water well. Can accommodate larger RV"s. No shower facilities are available.
Six people allowed per site.
Fishing license is required 16 years and older. Fishing season is last Saturday in April until November 15.
Fee Information
$14 per vehicle per night. No hook ups.
Additional vehicle: $5.00 per night
