The proper maintenance and operation of pools and spas are essential in order to ensure the safety of swimmers. As such, public swimming pools and spas are regulated by the Inyo County EHD. Facilities are issued annual permits and are inspected twice a year. Pool operators are required to keep a daily log of disinfectant residuals and pH. State regulations for the construction and operation of public swimming pools, as well as anti-entrapment legislation, may be accessed via the link below.
If you purchased a property that has a permitted pool or spa facility, you will need to fill out a new Pool Permit Application (link below) and check the "Change of Ownership" box, as permits are non-transferable.
