Under the Inyo County Health & Human Services Department: Public Health & Prevention Division, Inyo County Public Health staff works closely with the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) - Communicable Disease Control (DCDC) to promptly identify, prevent and control infectious diseases that pose a threat to public health, including emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases, vaccine-preventable agents, bacterial toxins, bioterrorism, and pandemics.
Inyo County Public Health also work closely with the Office of AIDS (a separate program within the Center for Infectious Diseases) on comprehensive prevention, diagnosis and treatment services for sexually transmitted diseases, viral hepatitis, tuberculosis, and HIV.
