The Information Services (IS) department is responsible for the purchase, installation, configuration, securing and support of all County information technology infrastructure, equipment, systems, software applications and services. IS also provides end-user support to the more than 450 employees at more than 40 locations throughout the County.

We manage and support approximately 500 computer workstations, 80 servers, 30 network switches, 20 point-to-point network links, 20 full-time VPN connections, 60 networked copiers, 200 networked printers, 300 mobile devices, 200 two-way radios, 20 mountaintop repeaters, and a number of cutting-edge cybersecurity technologies and service providers. 

The IS department is additionally responsible for recommending, planning, purchasing, implementing and supporting technology hardware, software and services for the County. Current services supported by IS include the County's websites, email, enterprise financial system, property tax system, cost accounting system, Geospatial Information Systems (GIS), mobile and voice-over-IP (VoIP) telephone services, the budget planning and management system, legal and law enforcement information and communication systems, resilient internet connectivity, and several third-party hosted and on-premises systems. Other services include courier mail service, delivery service shipping and receiving, and Internal Service Fund (ISF) billing.
