Inyo County California

The Assessor's office is a department of local government, governed by the California Constitution and the laws passed by the State Legislature.  The office is managed by an elected official that, upon being elected serves a four-year term.  Dave Stottlemyre has served as your Assessor since 2015.  He was re-elected in 2018 to serve a second term.

Dave has been a resident of Inyo County since 1976.  He relocated here after receiving an honorable military discharge and has since been an active member of the community.  Dave is a graduate of Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo where he earned his B.S. degree in Business Administration with an Accounting concentration.  He owned and operated a successful tax & business consulting firm in Bishop for over 32 years before becoming the County Assessor.  Dave is a BOE certified appraiser and an active member of the California Assessors' Association.
