Broadband Grants for Inyo and Mono Counties

The California Public Utilities Commission approved two grant applications for Inyo and Mono counties on January 12, 2023.
The County of Inyo was awarded a Local Agency Technical Assistance Grant to provide funding for shovel-ready, last-mile network construction engineering designs. These designs will be used as part of the effort to connect the unserved and underserved remote and rural areas of Inyo County to faster, more reliable broadband Internet service.
The Eastern Sierra Council of Governments (ESCOG) was awarded a California Advanced Services Fund Grant for the Inyo-Mono Broadband Consortium (IMBC). The IMBC will facilitate the deployment of broadband services in Inyo and Mono counties by assisting with project development, grant applications, and projects related to state broadband programs.
