INYO COUNTY MOVES TO YELLOW TIER
AND SCALES BACK COVID-19 EMERGENCY RESPONSE

INYO COUNTY, CA, May 25, 2021 – Effective Wednesday May 26, 2021, Inyo County will move from the Orange Tier into the Yellow Tier as part of California’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy. In this tier, the risk of COVID-19 infection is minimal and most indoor business operations are open with some modifications. While the risk is minimal, continuing to practice safety measures and good hygiene will help keep yourself and community members safe.

As California prepares to move beyond the Blueprint for a Safer Economy on June 15, the expectation is to see very limited measures remain in effect. As this transition occurs, the County of Inyo intends to scale back its COVID-19 emergency response and phase out the weekly EOC Updates that have been provided via email. The County will continue to provide vaccine and COVID-19 related information as an opt-in/opt-out email option managed by Public Health and sent in both English and Spanish.

In the continued community effort to stop the spread of COVID-19, CDPH and Inyo County strongly encourage the following actions:

• Everyone should get vaccinated when eligible; please contact your primary healthcare provider or make an appointment by visiting: https://myturn.ca.gov/
• You are encouraged to sign up for local vaccine and COVID-19 related information at the Inyo County website under Vaccine Information or directly via the Subscription Form
• Indoor spaces must continue to be well ventilated following current CDPH and CalOSHA guidance
• If you are interested in receiving text alerts informing you as to whether you have been in contact with a known positive case, you can download the CA Notify app (available for both Android and Apple).
• If you have been vaccinated and are interested in participating in the V-Safe after vaccination health checker, you can register by visiting: https://vsafe.cdc.gov/
• Continue to wear a face mask indoors and at large events, as required by current California Department of Public Health (CDPH) face covering guidance

The California tier-based metrics have helped provide a framework for reopening businesses, schools and other community venues. Beginning June 15, 2021, CDPH has indicated that all sectors listed in the current Blueprint Activities and Business Tiers Chart may return to usual operations (with the limited exceptions for Mega Events).

CONDADO DE INYO SE TRASLADA AL NIVEL AMARILLO
Y REDUCE SU RESPUESTA DE EMERGENCIAS AL COVID-19

CONDADO de INYO, CA, 25 de mayo, 2021 – Vigente el miércoles, 26 de mayo, 2021, el condado de Inyo avanzará del nivel anaranjado al nivel amarillo como parte del Plan de California para una Economía más Segura. En este nivel, el riesgo de infección de COVID-19 es mínimo y la mayoría de operaciones interiores comerciales estarán abiertos con modificaciones. Aunque el riesgo es mínimo, el seguir practicando medidas de seguridad y buen higiene mantendrán a usted y a miembros de su comunidad protegidos.

Mientras California se prepara para el 15 de junio dejar atrás el Plan para una Economía más Segura, la expectativa es mirar muy pocas medidas seguir en efecto. Al ocurrir esta transición, el condado de Inyo tiene previsto reducir su respuesta de emergencias al COVID-19 y gradualmente eliminar las actualizaciones de parte del Centro de Operaciones de Emergencia que han sido proveídas por correo electrónico. El Condado seguirá proporcionando dosis de vacuna, y también información relacionada con COVID-19 que es enviada por Salud Pública en español e inglés basado en la opción que tiene de optar por recibir por correo electrónico o de excluirse de recibir.

En el continuo esfuerzo comunitario para detener la propagación de COVID-19, CDPH y el Condado de Inyo instamos fuertemente las siguientes acciones:  

• Todos deberían vacunarse si son elegibles; por favor comuníquese con su médico principal o programe una cita yendo a: https://myturn.ca.gov/
• Le animamos a registrarse en el sitio del Condado de Inyo bajo Vaccine Information o directamente via Subscription Form para recibir información local relacionada con la vacuna y COVID-19
• Espacios interiores deben seguir siendo muy bien ventilados bajo la guía actual de CDPH y CalOSHA
• Si está interesado en recibir alertas de texto informándole si ha estado en contacto con un caso positive, puede bajar la aplicación de CA Notify (disponible para ambos Android y Apple)
• Si ha sido vacunado y está interesado en el inspector de salud despues de vacunarse V-Safe, puede registrarse con visitar: https://vsafe.cdc.gov/
• Siga utilizando cubre-bocas en ambientes cerrados y en eventos grandes, como esta requerido actualmente por la guía de cubre bocas del Departamento de Salud Pública de California (CDPH)

Las medidas de California según los niveles han ayudado a estructurar el marco para volver a abrir negocios, escuelas, y otros locales. Comenzando el 15 de junio, 2021, CDPH ha indicado que todos los sectores enumerados en la Tabla de Niveles de Actividades y Empresas pueden volver a sus operaciones habituales (con excepciones limitadas para mega eventos.)
